Nancy J. Cummings Goodwin, 77, of Hamilton and formerly of Oneonta, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2006 in the Town of Madison of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born November 2, 1929 in Poughkeepsie, the daughter of Theron and Dorothy (Popp) Cummings.

She married Robert E. Goodwin on June 27, 1954 in Oneonta.

Mrs. Goodwin graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Class of 1952 and was formerly associated with the Cummings Rosalyn Specialty Shops in Sidney and Oneonta with her sister, Barbara and her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Goodwin of Hamilton; two sons, Mr. & Mrs. Charles (Teri) Goodwin of Auburn, Washington and Mr. Thomas Goodwin of Rochester; two granddaughters, Dorothy and Teresa Goodwin of Auburn, Washington; a sister, Mr. & Mrs. Willis (Barbara) Dailey of Oneonta; a brother, Mr. & Mrs. William (Elaine) Cummings of Sidney, Ohio; nine nieces and nephews, Bruce and Douglas Dailey, Katherine Dailey Sason, Evan Cummings, James and David Hurley, Jack and Steve Lewis, and Joanne Fiscina; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family will be receiving friends from Noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2006 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home in Oneonta.

A private graveside service will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Oneonta.
