Obituary

WORCESTER - Nina A. Pleuss, 62, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on June 9, 1954 in Wantagh, NY, the daughter of John and Jacqueline (Klopper) Tetenes.

Nina married Thomas Pleuss.

She moved to Worcester in 1991 from Massapequa. Nina started college at age 40, graduated and worked for SUNY Cobleskill for 15 years. She also was a Worcester Town Judge, a sheep farmer and owned the Quilt Zoo in Worcester.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Her hobbies included farming, horseback riding, gardening, quilting, camping and the outdoors.

Nina is survived by her husband Thomas, 3 sons, Adam and his wife Vanessa, Matthew and his wife Danielle and Jason, her grandchildren Emma, Kyle, Madison and Logan, her step-sons Peter and Erik, her step-grandchildren Corbin, Abby and Lukas, her parents, Jacqueline and John and her two brothers John and Joel.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the Second Baptist Church, 132 Main Street, Worcester with the Rev Judith A. Thistle, chaplain at A.O. Fox Hospital and pastor, officiating.

A calling hour will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the service time.
