Schenevus – Osa Clapper, 88, passed away October 30, 2008 at the Otsego Manor.

Osa was born March 20, 1920 the son of Schuyler and Jennie Clapper in
Clapper Hollow, Charlotteville, NY.

Osa and Mary H. Stevens were married on June 22, 1945 in Worcester.
Mary predeceased him in January of 1956.

He was a member of the Charlotteville Fire Department. Osa worked at
Harders Manufacturing Co. Richmondville and retired from Catskill
Craftsmen Inc. of Stamford after 24 years.

Osa lived in the area all his life and moved to Schenevus in 1966.

Osa is survived by his daughter, Joyce Howard of Laurens; a son Donald
and wife Veronica, of Warnerville; grandchildren, Mike Howard of
Bloomville, Chantal Erickson and Brian Howard both of Laurens, April
and husband, Shane Cole of Cobleskill, Mary and husband, Donald Jr. Buck of East Worcester, Cheryl and husband, John Ilowiecki of Central
Bridge; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Chad Erickson of Laurens,
Harmony and Hunter Cole of Cobleskill, Kacey McGuire, Justin and Sean
Buck of East Worcester, Keneisha, Devon and Keegan Ilowiecki of
Central Bridge and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Osa was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Bruce; two brothers, Chanucey
and Osa's twin Olin; a son, Phillip and his second wife, Joyce
Knowles.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Monday
November 3, 2008 at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel in Worcester.

A funeral service will be held following the calling hour at 12:00 pm
at the Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Richard Bean, retired,
officiating.

Interment will take place following the service in the Maple Grove
Cemetery, Worcester.

to the Schenevus – Maryland Emergency Squad, 105 Co Hwy 34, Schenevus,
NY 12155.
