Patricia L. Garrity's Obituary
ONEONTA – Patricia L. Garrity, 63, passed away peacefully, Saturday, April 6, 2013 with her family by her side.
She was born March 16, 1950 in Rockville Center, the daughter of Gilmore and Jeanne (Dietz) Garrity.
Patti graduated from Seaford High School. She was employed by Kmart, Oneonta in the Loss Prevention Department.
Patti enjoyed traveling and was lucky at Bingo. She loved all kinds of animals, but the true loves of her life were her children and grandchildren. She was generous with her time and her love and was the adopted "Mama" to many.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Heaney of Portlandville, Heather and husband, Werner Stich of Pennsylvania; and William Alvarez of Portlandville; her grandchildren, Trinity, Lacy and Brett Stich; her sisters, Bonnie Garrity and Jeanne Westcott; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Schenevus Cemetery, with the Rev. Bernard Ampong, officiating.
Donations may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice, 1 Birchwood Dr., Oneonta, NY 13820.
