Davenport - Patricia E. Markey, 71, passed away, Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Chenango Valley Memorial Hospital in Norwich.

She was born June 6, 1936 in Philadelphia, PA; the daughter of John and Florence (Spillane) Markey.

Patricia was an executive secretary for General Electric in Philadelphia for forty years. After retiring, she moved to the Davenport area and continued to work for Latham Homes in Oneonta.

She was a member of the Worcester and Oneonta American Legion Auxiliary.

Patricia is survived by her sister Peggy and her husband Jerry Coombs of Worcester, a sister-in-law, Bobbi Markey of Florida; 4 nieces, Peggy Nelson and Kathy McTaggart both of Worcester, Marianne Kitchen of Pennsylvania and Leigh Ann Markey Simpson of Florida; 2 nephews, Jerry Coombs of Schenevus and Bill Coombs of Florida; several great nieces and nephews, several cousins in Philadelphia and her dear friend Rodger Ruteshouser of Davenport.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, John Markey and a sister, Florence Kitchen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Worcester with the Rev. Edward Golding as celebrant.

Burial will follow at the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Worcester.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, 155 Main Street, Worcester.
