WORCESTER – Paul Suydam, 60, passed away Monday, October 29, 2007 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.
He was born August 17, 1947 in the Bronx, the son of Kenneth K. And Marie (Beckert) Suydam.
Paul married Margaret L. Jung on February 27, 1965 in Smithtown.
In 1982 he moved to Worcester from Smithtown. He was the owner of 5 Star Construction in Worcester for 25 years.
He was member of the New York State Constable Association and was the Animal Control Officer for the towns of Maryland, Roseboom and Davenport and formerly for the town of Worcester for many years.
Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy; children, Paul Jr., Patrick, Sean, Shannon, Brian and Amanda; grandchildren, Dylan, Cassie, Michael, Tanner, Ashlynn, Tucker and Tanner; his mother, Marie; a brother, Kenneth; sisters, Barbara and Lolla; and many nieces, nephews and several special friends.
He was predeceased by his father, and a brother, John.
Calling hours will be held at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel in Worcester from 11 a.m. to the service time at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 3 , 2007, with the Reverend Judith A. Thistle, chaplin at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, officiating.
