Pete D. Burton, 51, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on February 23, 1961 in Worcester, NY, the son of Dorwin "Pete" and Helen (Meyer) Burton.

Pete was a life long area resident who was a member of the Pathfinder's Snowmobile Club.

He enjoyed carpentry, bargains and bartering, and building his Rat Rod.

Prior to his illness, Pete worked for Catskill Craftsman in Stamford, for a number of years.

Pete is survived by his loving companion and wife of 9 ½ years, Debbie Burton of Worcester; step-son, Jeremy Warner of South Carolina; sister, Vicky Marino and her husband, Tom of Worcester; nephew, Thomas (T.J.) Marino of South Carolina; step-granddaughter, Rachael Warner of South Carolina; many aunts, uncles and cousins, and his dear friend, Harold Southworth.

He was predeceased by his parents, his uncles, Lester and Alfred Burton and his Aunt, Dorothy Wayman.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2012 at the 2nd Baptist Church, Main St. in Worcester with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, officiating. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, 155 Main St. in Worcester.
