DAVENPORT – Peter John Evers, 87, passed away at home on January 13, 2019.

He was born on July 8, 1931 on Long Island, the son of Peter Evers and Harriet Warner.

Peter was a United States Marine serving in the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the Local 361 in New York City as an Iron Worker.  Peter moved to Davenport 20 years ago.  He enjoyed working on his cars and was a great mechanic.  He also enjoyed feeding the birds and loved his cat.

He is survived by his children, Joseph (Kathy), Robert (Pat), Vicky, Cathy (Charlie), Mitchell, Chris, Patty (Kevin) and Jim; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Roslyn Richter and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Bill.

A military graveside service at the Fergusonville Cemetery will be held at later date.
