Peter M.
Mravlja
September 28, 1952 – April 25, 2021
WESTFORD - Peter Mravlja passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ April 25, 2021 he was 68 years old.
Peter was a 1970 graduate of Draper Central School in Schenevus, NY. Following graduation Peter attended Alfred College where he completed a certificate for Automotive Specialist (Truck and Diesel).
In 1972, Peter entered the Army, serving honorably for two years as a Tracked and Wheeled vehicle mechanic.
While Peter traveled and moved to multiple places in the country he always returned to his beloved Westford, where he established a talented and sought-after Masonry business with examples of his impressive stone, brick, and concrete structures found throughout Otsego County. Peter had many passions. He was an avid skydiver, static line instructor and parachute rigger with over 2500 jumps. He and his fellow skydiving teammates would routinely make jumps into Schenevus Carnival and Cooperstown Dreams Park ball games. Additional beloved hobbies included motorcycle riding and scuba diving. But his favorite pastime was target shooting. He developed an impressive reputation as an expert marksman, re-loader, and gunsmith. A passion which was so strong that he opened his own small business, "Pete's Arms and Reloading", where he developed a special relationship with numerous like-minded outdoorsmen. Pete is also remembered for his impact on the community. Always stepping forward to assist and visit the elderly and sick of Westford. Bringing them their mail or taking their trash to the dump when they were unable. A faithful man, Pete was a key member of St Joseph's Catholic Church of Worcester. He put his many talents to work on his off time working on church structures that needed repair and he will be greatly missed by the Church community.
