Worcester - Phyllis A. Hubbard, 91, passed away peacefully at home on April 11, 2026.
She was born November 3, 1934, in Ancramdale, the daughter of Jacob and Elsie (Kilmer) Althiser.
Phyllis worked for 38 years at Corning in Oneonta, retiring as a quality control inspector, she also served as a home health aide. She was a deeply loved member of her family and will be remembered for her devotion, strength, and the care she showed to those around her. To her family, she was a source of comfort, guidance, and unconditional love.
She played a special role in her grandchildren's life, helping raise and care for them with patience and wisdom. The time spent together created a bond that will never be forgotten. Through both the big and small moments, she made those around her feel safe, supported, and truly loved. Her love and the lessons she shared will live on in the hearts of her family.
Phyllis was known for her warm heart and giving nature. She had a way of putting others first and showing her love through her actions. Whether through quiet support or everyday routines, she made a lasting impact on the lives of those who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Amo and Bonnie Buck; her son, Frederick Hubbard; her sister, Elenor Race; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick A. Hubbard; her son, David Hubbard; her daughter, Sylvia Hill; her grandson, Daniel Buck; her great-grandsons, Dylan Baker and Jeremiah Hill; and her ten siblings.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 17, at Evergreen Cemetery, 50 N. Main St. in Pine Plains, New York.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
