Obituary

Raymond George Clapper, 78 passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023.

Raymond was born on November 29, 1944.  He was the youngest of Cora B. (Coger) and Lorenzo L. Clapper of Worcester, NY.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Gage, Mildred Gage, Alta Harrington, Golden May Coffin, Jean Handy, and a brother Claude Clapper.

He is survived by his brothers, David Clapper of Anniston AL, Clark (Sue) Clapper of Richfield Springs, NY, and Gordon (Sharon) Clapper of Rogersville, TN, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ray was a long-time resident of the Liberty program and enjoyed many adventures during his life there.  Ray enjoyed puttering with machinery, singing and playing his guitar. He was a huge Elvis fan! Music was one of his loves.

Ray was so loved and will be missed by many.

Calling hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with the funeral starting at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main Street, Worcester, with the Rev. Rus Underwood, officiating.  The interment will immediately follow at the East Worcester Cemetery, State Highway 7, East Worcester, NY.
