Worcester – Richard F. Stabile passed away suddenly on June 29, 2018 in Cooperstown, NY. He was 76 years old.
Richard lived his own version of a "Bronx Tale". He was born on October 9, 1941 to Lillian (Kohnken) and Guido Stabile in the Bronx. Richard was the only child of a Bloomingdales sales clerk and NYC Port Authority bus driver. It was in the Bronx where he was raised, went to school, and met the love of his life (and future wife) at the tender age of 14.
Rich proudly served in the United States Army overseas in Germany for 3 years. After serving his country, he was married to Philomena Sullivan on June 2, 1963. They just celebrated their 55 th Wedding Anniversary.
He was an electrician in the Bronx for many years, then moved his family to Hampton Bays, Long Island where he was a successful real estate broker for 15 years. Always a lover of upstate New York, (country life), he moved his family to Worcester, NY in 1987. Rich then worked for Lancaster Development in various positions within the company for over 20 years.
Rich always was willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed attending the many sports events, chorus/band performances, and award ceremonies for his children and grandchildren. He had a great passion for all things cars related.
