Obituary

WARNERVILLE – Robert S. Brooker, 75, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family.



He was born February 24, 1932 in Worcester, the son of Howard and Leola (Dauley) Brooker.



Robert was an United States Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict with the 1745 3rd Company 17 Infantry, obtaining the rank of Private First Class.



He married Leora Marie Jones on October 6, 1951 in South Valley.



Robert worked at the Ace Glove Factory in Richmondville for 20 years. He than was employed for the Schoharie County Highway Department for 20 years, retiring in 1993. After retirement, he worked with his son at Brooker's Well Drilling for the past 10 years.



He is survived by his wife, Leora Marie Brooker of Warnerville; their children, Shirley Sperbeck of Richmondville, Bill and Lisa Brooker of Worcester, Suzanne and Steven Ebert of Sloansville and Christine Brooker of Warnerville; grandchildren, Eric Sperbeck, Stacy Land, Darren Sperbeck, Christopher Todd Brooker, Ashley Warren, Amanda Brooker, Steven, Daniel and Rebecca Ebert, Courtney Coffin, Brittney Morell, Chad and Jeremy Brooker Killenburger; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Aliza, Brandon, Nicholas, Myleah, Grace, Lily, Justice and Haley; sister, Eva Dibble; brothers, J. Henry Brooker, Franklin Brooker, Albert Wilson and William Wilson; and many nieces, nephews, and Cousins. Also his faithful companions, Lupi and Dixie.



He was predeceased by a son, Wayne Brooker and two sisters, Doris Winnie and Velda Barner.



Calling hours will be Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 1 p.m. To the funeral service time at 2 p.m. At the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, Worcester, with the Reverend Victor Zaccaro, officiating.



Interment with military honors will follow at the South Valley Cemetery.
