Robert Edward Flaherty, 79, of New Port Richey, FL passed away on February 17, 2022.

He was born on February 18, 1942 to Charles and Louise LeBaron Flaherty in the Bronx, NY. At the age of seven he moved with his family to Worcester, NY and graduated from Worcester Central Class of 1960.

He married Yvonne Guernsey Cates and adopted his only child, Tracy Cates.

Bob was employed for many years by Met. Life in Oneonta, NY before relocating to Florida. There he was self-employed with sales with A.S.A.P (Advertising Specialties and Promotions) until his death.

He remarried Brenda (Vanderville) Flaherty who survives. Also surviving is daughter, Tracy Cates; brother, Paul Flaherty and sister, Mary Ellen Croce and several special nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Carol Hotaling and brother, Dan Flaherty.
