Robert M. Harrington's Obituary
Schenevus – Robert M. Harrington, 89, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2008, at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford.
Robert was born in Burlington Flats, June 18, 1918, the son of Robert and Ethel Harrington.
Robert and Alta Clapper were married on June 18, 1946. Alta predeceased Robert in July of 2002.
Robert was an agricultural specialist. He worked and retired from the Southbury Agricultural Training School in Southbury, CT.
Robert is survived by three sons, Glenn and Amy of Otego, Darrell and Phyllis of Duncan, OK and Frederick of Duncan OK; a daughter, Patricia also of Duncan OK; nine grandchildren, Cindy, Melinda, Kim, Marc, Christina, Amber, Kelly, Stacey and Kyle; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Donald and a sister, Thelma.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday May 22, 2008 at the Heller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lawrence Russell, pastor at the Schenevus United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at the East Worcester Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's name can be made to The New York State Veterans Home, Bingo Fund, 4211 St Hwy 220, Oxford, NY 13830-4305
