Oneonta – Robert T. Ingalls, Jr., 86, passed away October 4, 2020 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home, Oneonta.

He was born March 13, 1934 in Oneonta, the son of Robert T. and Emily (Lane) Ingalls.

He married Lucile Gehrke on October 24, 1953 in Sidney Center. Bob was a United States Army veteran.

Bob worked for many years at Agway Petroleum.  In 1973, he went into business for himself, Bob's Appliance Service, providing appliance repair service throughout Otsego and Delaware counties. He retired in 1998.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta.  Bob was happiest when he was outdoors, and loved to tinker around the house.

He is survived by his wife, Lucile Ingalls; daughter, Marjorie (James) Holdsworth; daughter-in-law, Joi Ingalls; grandchildren, Kathleen Seybold, Wendy Mitchell, Shawn (Syres) Ingalls, Joseph (Sara) Ingalls, Crystal (Peter) Curpier; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; a special "other son", Gary (Karen) Laing; and several cousins and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents and his son, Thomas Ingalls.

At his request, there will be a private burial at Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
