SCHOHARIE – Robert J. Rosenthal, 78, passed away Friday, April 4, 2008 at O'Connor Hospital in Delhi.
He was born November 8, 1929 in Schenevus, the son of Clarence and Vera (Schutt) Rosenthal.
He was a United States Army veteran serving from 1950 to 1954.
Bob married Anneliese M. Kunkelmann on March 18, 1954 in Germany.
He was employed for the New York State Department of Transportation and the retired from Schoharie County Highway Department as a foreman.
Bob is survived by his wife, Anneliese Rosenthal; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Mary Rosenthal of Delhi; a granddaughter, Ashley Rosenthal of Delhi; a brother, Lauren and his wife, Helen Rosenthal of Rochester; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his son, Thomas Rosenthal and a brother, Clarence Rosenthal, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel in Worcester, with the Rev. Jane Pykus, pastor of the Worcester United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment with military honors will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester.
