Oneonta - Robert A. Wikoff, 82, died October 3, 2023 peacefully at home with his family by his side.

He was born March 24, 1941 in Oneonta, the son of Leo Francis and Marjorie (Pitts) Wikoff.

He graduated from Laurens Central School in 1960. Bob was the first inductee into the Laurens Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen (Allen); children, Penny Wikoff and companion John Sawyer, Joel and Jennifer (Roffe) Wikoff; grandchildren, Brandon Hansen and Emily Sawyer; two great-grandchildren, Kelsi and Logan; siblings, Joan Handy, David Ronald and Dean Wikoff and many nieces and nephew.

Robert was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Suzanne Gregory; brother, Gerald Wikoff and granddaughter, Katie Hansen.

Robert retired 25 years ago from NYSEG. He was lucky enough to enjoy what he loved to do. He was an avid sportsman. He loved to hunt and fish. As a member of Trout Unlimited, he participated in community events and local fairs. He was also a member of the Oneonta Elks Club.

A special thank you to the Oneonta Cancer Care Center for the amazing care and kindness they gave over the years, and to Helios Care for being there for all of us during Robert's final weeks.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the VFW, 314 Ellis Rd., Morris, NY.
