Obituary

JEFFERSON – Roy A. (Corduroy) Morell, 61, died after a brief illness on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital.

He was born May 3, 1947 in Worcester, the son of Avery and Margaret (Kniffen) Morell.

Roy enjoyed mowing lawns, socializing, country music and watching western movies. His pride and joy were his dog Missy and his car.

He is survived by two brothers, Arthur and Alice Morell of East Worcester and Thomas and Kay Morell of Jefferson; a sister, Bertha Stannard Cooper and her husband, John of Jefferson; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special friends, Gary Schmidt of Worcester and Bobby and Sissy Wilsey of Jefferson.

He was predeceased by parents, brothers, Kenneth and Robert and a sister, Martha Smith.

A special thank you to Bobby and Sissy and John Coffin for all they have done for Roy.

Calling hours will be Monday, September 29, 2008 from 12:30 p.m. to the funeral service at 1:30 p.m at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel in Worcester, with the Rev. Jane Pykus, pastor at the Worcester United Methodist Church.

Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester.
