She was born in Johnson City, NY to Eleanor (Gresham) and Keith Hull on January 2, 1940.  She graduated from Johnson City High School in 1957 and entered the State University College at Oneonta in the fall of 1957 with a major in Elementary Education.  In 1959 she transferred to Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky where she graduated and took a job in the Oneonta Plains School, teaching Fourth Grade.

Sandy married Nicholas Occhino on August 19, 1961 and was an Oneonta resident until her death.  She left teaching in January of 1964 to raise her children and pursue many of her interests.  In 1984 she returned to teaching and taught Kindergarten at the Riverside School until her retirement in 1998.

Sandy was a woman of many interests.  She was an avid reader, consummate homemaker, and flower gardener.  She was a wise and patient mother and a wonderful wife.  She was also a devout Christian who served in many capacities at Main Street Baptist Church.

A special thank you to the staff at A.O. Fox Nursing Home for the competent and loving care Sandy received.  Your kindness is deeply appreciated.
