Sarah L. Knapp's Obituary
ONEONTA – Sarah L. Knapp, 87, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at home with her loving family.
She was born November 9, 1928 in Decatur, the daughter of Levi and Elsa (Clapper) Crandall.
Sarah married William P. Coe January 14, 1945 in Sidney. In July of 1971 she married Glenn C. Fuller Sr. who predeceased her on September 10, 1979. She then married George W. Knapp May 18, 1990 in Oneonta.
Sarah worked in Bendix for a couple years. She was a physical therapy aide for 10 years at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.
She lived in the area nearly all her life, moving to Frederick St. in Oneonta in 1982. In early years she was a member of the Methodist Church in Decatur, transferring membership to the West Oneonta Baptist Church in the early 1980's. She enjoyed gardening, camping and traveling. She was an avid Dodger fan since Brooklyn.
She is survived by her husband, George Knapp of Oneonta; children, Robert and Sharon Coe of Indiana, Ward and Diane Coe of Kirkwood, Lillian and Gerry Ferris of Florida, Dorothy and Charlie Wilber of Otego, Cindy and Earl Booth of Tennessee, Gloria McDougall of Florida, Linda Fuller of West Oneonta, Roy Knapp of Franklin, Randy and Sabrina Knapp of Mt. Vision, Sandra Hunter of Franklin, Shari and Donald Anderson of Andes; many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by children, Ronald Coe, Glenn Fuller Jr., and David Fuller; as well as 9 brothers and sisters.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at West Oneonta Baptist Church, 2845 Co. Hwy. 8, West Oneonta, with the Rev. Aarmir Dinn, officiating. Burial will take place at the West Oneonta Cemetery and a celebration of life dinner will follow in the church social hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Oneonta Baptist Church, PO Box 224, West Oneonta, NY 13861 or Catskill Area Hospice, 1 Birch St., Oneonta, NY 13820.
