DAVENPORT – Suzanne Harvey, 70, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her home.


She was born May 18, 1946 in Liberty, the daughter of Robert Edwin and Emily Myrtle (Harlin) Bullis.


Suzanne grew up in Downsville. She graduated from SUNY Oneonta.


Suzanne married Gerald Harvey on August 18, 1972 in Downsville.


Suzanne taught in several school districts, retiring from Charlotte Valley Central School in Davenport. She enjoyed being a reading teacher and loved playing the role of "Mother Goose".


She was a member of the Davenport United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and swimming.


She is survived by her mother, Emily Bullis of Downsville; two daughters, Sharon L. Harvey of Davenport and Cindy L. and husband, Jim Christie of Downsville; two grandchildren, Joshua and Jay; sister-in-law, Marilyn and husband, Jim Johnson of Davenport; several nephews, and a close friend, Lorraine Florczyk of Rome.


She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald; her father, Robert; and a brother, Raymond Bullis.


Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.


The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 23, at the Davenport United Methodist Church, 15696 State Highway 23, Davenport, with the Rev. Jan Lacey-Markle, officiating.


Interment will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 9th at the Davenport Cemetery at a later date.
