Sylvia Dettling, 93, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford.
She was born January 2, 1917 in Brooklyn, the daughter of Baltazar and Luisa (Tisel) Derganc.
Sylvia married Curtis T. Dettling on November 7, 1946 in East Worcester. He predeceased her on June 28, 1992.
She was an area resident since the age of 16 and worked for the Alumni Association at SUNY Cobleskill College.
Sylvia is survived by 4 children, Jean Burse of Casselberry, Fl., James Mravlja and his wife, Gloria of Worcester, Linda Morrell and her husband, Kenneth of Worcester and Kathy Parker of Reddick, Fl.; 13 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister Jeanette Urek of Staten Island.
A graveside service will be held at the East Worcester Cemetery at a later date.
