Oneonta - With a heavy heart, we share the passing of Terry James Ritchko, 75, of Aurora, Colorado. He went home to be with his Lord. Terry passed away late Tuesday, July 27, 2021, in Denver, Colorado with his family beside him.

Terry was born in Oneonta, NY and he worked in the family's grocery store as a young boy. In 1979 Terry decided to move him and his family to Aurora, Colorado. The family has made Colorado their home. Terry was a hard worker and a great provider, he worked up until a few days before his death.

Terry had four amazing children for whom he was especially proud of, Michael and his wife, Allyson Ritchko, Patrick and his wife, DeeAnn Ritchko, Chris Ann Waller, and Brian Ritchko. Terry and Brian (with his kids) have lived together for the last 15+ years. Brian has been there to help Terry with past health issues. Terry was so very proud of his 8 grandchildren, Dr. Bethany Waller, Sasha Ritchko, Ashten Ritchko, Simon Garcia, Hunter Ritchko, Jordan Ritchko, Marissa Ritchko, and Maya Ritchko.  He is survived by four siblings, Craig Ritchko, Joan Cooper, Bruce Ritchko, Marylou (Ritchko) Bevins plus several beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved grandmother, Iva Richards.

Terry's wishes were to return back to Oneonta, NY to be put to rest amongst his family, at the Plains Cemetery.

A Celebration of life is 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 10, at Lewis Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home 51 Dietz Street, Oneonta, NY, with the Rev. Joel Shue of the New Life Oneonta Free Methodist Church officiating.
