Obituary

ONEONTA – Thelma A. Rosa, 99, passed away April 23, 2014 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home, Oneonta.

She was born April 19, 1915 in Meredith, the daughter of George and Edna (Odell) Squaires.

She married Elliot Rosa, who predeceased her.

Thelma was attended the Wesleyan Church, Oneonta. She spent most her life working hard at a verity of jobs. She loved playing bingo, helping people and going fishing.

She is survived by her children, Richard and Ernestine Currie of Oneonta, Jeanette Currie of Wells Bridge, Dorothy D'Esposito of Florida, Walter and Donna Currie of Oneonta; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Daley and Christina Banner; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Roy Currie; two infant children; brothers, Thomas, Theodore and Osborne Sqauires and sister, Martha Daley.

Calling hours will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the funeral at 11 a.m., Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Wesleyan Church, 5308 State Highway 23, Oneonta, with the Rev. Eric Santamont, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin.
