Thomas H. Sargent's Obituary
ONEONTA – Thomas H. Sargent, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home, Oneonta, after a long illness.
He was born December 5, 1942 in Oneonta, the son of Wellington E. and Esther (White) Sargent.
Thomas was a United States Navy veteran.
He graduated from Columbia County Community College and Broome Community College.
Thomas retired from Frontier Communications in Sherburne.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Stiefel) Sargent; sons, Brian Sargent, Thomas Sargent and David and wife, Angela Sargent; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Wayne and Robert Sargent; sisters, Susan Cower and Linda Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents.
At Thomas' request there will be no services. Donations may be made to Catskill Area Hospice & Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Dr., Oneonta, NY 13820.
