Thomas E. Tompkins, 52, passed away Sunday, January, 30, 2011 at residence.
He was born on December 6, 1958 in Albany; the son of Earl and Dolores (VanVolkinburg) Tompkins.
Tom was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his companion of 30 years, Ellie Hill of Worcester; his son, Eric Tompkins of Worcester; 2 sisters, Frances Anson and her husband Paul of Albany and Anna Trombly and her husband Randy of Mooers; 2 brothers, William Kirchner of Troy and Philip Kirchner of Albany and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom was predeceased by his brothers Derrick Clark and Albert Lee.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2011 at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, 155 Main St. in Worcester with the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, retired officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service time.
Memorial contributions may be made in loving memory of Tom to the American Cancer Society, 100 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502.
