WORCESTER – Thomas "Laci" Vajo, 51, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Albany Medical Center, after an extended illness.

Laci was born an April 10, 1956 in Hungary, the son of Frank and Cecilia (Minich) Vajo.

He was a graduate of Worcester Central School, Class of 1974. Laci was an avid hunter and fisherman, who had a talented gift for cooking and the arts.

He was previously employed at Kintz Plastic in Howes Cave for 7 years and was currently a self employed contractor.

Laci is survived by his wife, Francesca Willwerth; his parents, Frank and Cecilia; a brother, Frank and his daughter, Erin and her mother, Debbie; a brother, Stephen and Victoria; a sister, Ann and her daughter, Emily and Stephen; a cousin, Brigitta and many aunts, uncles and cousins living in Hungary; his mother-in-law, Constance; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Nicki, Veronica, Nancy, Mike and Jen, Madelyn, Suzanne and Kevin, Marta and Scott, Kurt and Bette, Mark and Joan, Connie and Jeff, Melanie and Larry, Maria and Pete, Jeffrey and Midge; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Cecelia Schroeder and her son, Robert George Schroeder III.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel in Worcester.

A graveside service will be Friday, July 6, 2007, at Noon at the East Worcester Cemetery, State Highway 7 in East Worcester, with the Rev. Edward Golding, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, officiating.
