Oneonta – Timothy Logan Johnson, 74, passed away September 28, 2023 at Chestnut Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Oneonta.

Tim was born on April 2, 1949.  He was raised in Columbus, Ohio, and then at the age of 18 went into the United States Navy.

In 1971, he settled in Laurens with his wife and daughter; in 1975, his son was born.

Tim enjoyed fishing and writing short stories and when he felt well enough, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He lives behind his loving daughter, Amy, and son, Kevin; son-in-law, Milan; grandchildren, CJ Smith and Courtney Smith; and his great-granddaughter, Jordyn Paul.

A great many thanks go to the Chestnut Park Nursing Home for their loving care given to Tim-Tim, and also to Helios Care for keeping him comfortable.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 2, at the Mt. Vision Cemetery, County Route 11 B, Mt. Vision.  The Rev. Dr. Bermard Osei Ampong will be officiating.
