EAST WORCESTER – Tracy Linden Ives, 53, passed away December 8, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born October 13, 1961 in Oneonta, the son of Carlyle and Laura (Banker) Ives.
Tracy worked as a union carpenter. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping. He was a very generous man, who had a heart of gold and would give you his shirt off his back. He was known as "Scrappy" one of the original American pickers. He loved collecting antiques and picking for scrap metals.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Ives of East Worcester; daughters, Jennifer, Amy and Emily Ives, all of East Worcester; granddaughters, Savannah, Megan and Braylyn; sisters, Nancy Ives of East Worcester and JoAnn Bellinger of Schenectady; a brothers, Steven and Barbara Ives of Worcester; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, first wife, Nancy Stafford Ives; a son, Brian Linden Ives and a sister, Leah Knapp.
As per Tracy's wishes, there will be no calling hours and a graveside service at the Maple View Cemetery, East Worcester, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015
