Oneonta – Vickie E. Tolbert, 54, passed away at home on December 25, 2022.

She was born November 19, 1968 in Washington, DC.

Vickie grew up in Schenevus and Oneonta.  She attended Utica School of Commerce.  She was a free spirit who enjoyed her travels.  She was a beautiful person with a warm heart.  Her home was always open especially to those who were in need. She would do anything for anyone, including a stranger.  She loved her children, and adored her animals, especially her cat, Sckully

She is survived by her daughter, Karina Preston and Aleya Backus; her son, Garrett Roe; her mother, Dorothy Bailey; her sister, Laura Tolbert and John Calleja; her brother, Fred and Kathryn Sellards; nieces and nephews, Ashley Buzzy, Amber Tolbert, Jacqueline Stiefel, Wayne Shutters, Megan Sellards, Cassandra Burke, Tyler Sellards, Donald Bailey and Samantha Norris Bailey; a dear friend, Dana "Doc" Finch.

She was predeceased by her father, Ellis Eugene Tolbert; her husband, Brian Dwyer and her brother, Donald Bailey.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a time for remembrance at 3 p.m., on January 7, 2023 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.
