Oneonta – Virginia T. Rogers, 101, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 29, 1920 in Oneonta, the daughter of Frank and Minnie (Dowd) Thompson.

Virginia grew up in Oneonta and graduated from Oneonta High School.

She married Kenneth W. Rogers in 1950.

Virginia worked for over 30 years at Bendix in Sidney. She also took great pride in running her own beauty salon out of her home for many years.

She is survived by her son, Dewey and Barbara Rogers of West Oneonta; grandchildren, Renee and Jim Konicki of Voorheesville, and Rhonda and Bill Van Shufflin of Oriskany; great-grandchildren, Katrina and Jim Miglin, Shannon and Addison Wolanin, Adam Konicki and Victoria Konicki; nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Rogers; her brothers, Frank Thompson, Jr. and Shahan Thompson; her sisters, Mary Fletcher, Nellie Kurcharski and Mae Hobbib.

Per Virginia's request a private service at Oneonta Plains Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
