Walter G. "Bill" Stevens, 78, passed away at home Friday, January 20, 2017.

He was born on March 16, 1938; the son of Howard and Pearl Alice (Banks) Stevens the first.

Bill had many talents; working on cars, tractors and equipment, playing guitar by ear and woodworking.

He worked for years doing many jobs but always came back to the family farm in Worcester to work with his brother Ike and family.

Bill is survived by his sister Maggie Hillman, many nieces and nephews and 2 step-siblings.

He was predeceased by his parents and 8 siblings.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main Street in Worcester with the Rev. Dan Martin, officiating.

A calling hour will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the service time.

A private burial will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the Worcester Emergency Squad, who are always there, especially Sidney Chase.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in memory of Bill to the Worcester Emergency Squad.
