WORCESTER – Wanda Cummings, 82, died September 30, 2014 after a brief illness at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
She was born January 16, 1932 in Seward, NY.
Wanda graduated from Sharon Springs Central School and was life long Worcester resident.
She married Russell Cummings Sr. on April 25, 1958 in Davenport.
Wanda loved sports and her Atlanta Braves. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, especially Hummingbirds.
She is survived by a son, Michael A. Cummings and Lynda Gross of Worcester; a daughter, Kathy and Dale Warf of Worcester; grandchildren, Shawn and Selena and their mother, Cynthia Cummings of Summit; a sister, Marion McMann of Cobleskill; a brother-in-law, Milton "Bing" and Joan Cummings of Warnerville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband and a son, Russell Cummings Jr.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2014 at the E.J. Skinner Funeral Chapel, 155 Main St. in Worcester.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Susan Wenner, pastor of the Worcester United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow at Charlotteville Cemetery.
