Oneonta – Wanda E. Marcella, 77, passed away September 25, 2017 at Chestnut Park Nursing Center, Oneonta.

She was born October 8, 1939 in Maryland, the daughter of Raymond and Beulah (Collison) Schaffer.

Wanda worked for Center Street Food Store and for (Woody's) Hometown Deli.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Pat Tripp (Jack) and Carol Benedict.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Raymond Schaffer and Jerry Schaffer, and a sister, Joan Lighthall.

Calling hours will be October 7, from 2 p.m. to the time of the memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, officiating.

Interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Grand Gorge will be at the convenience of the family.
