Obituary

MARYLAND – Wanda Jean Smith, 74, died unexpectedly, Sunday, December 7, 2008 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.

She was born April 9, 1934, the daughter of Mello and Leona Zeininger.

Wanda was a graduate of Andrew S. Draper Central School in Schenevus.

She married Paul F. Smith on August 18, 1954.

Wanda was worked many years at Breese's Department Store, J.C. Penney's, Scandia Restaurant in Maryland, June's Athletic Camp and Robert's Jewelry Store, plus doing housework for people. She liked to do puzzles, read, collect coupons and help other people. Wanda really cares a lot for her family.

She is predeceased by her mother, Leona Hall and step father, Joseph Hall; a brother, John Zeininger and a sister, Helen Zoliskie.

She is survived by her husband, Paul F. Smith; a son, Paul D. Smith; sisters, Margaret Harrington and Elsie Dykman; brother-in-law, Raymond Sutton and wife, Sandra; a niece, Pamela Sutton-Hyatt; sister-in-law, Marion Allminindiger; a cousin, William Howard; an aunt, Bertha Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lawrence Russell, pastor at the Schenevus United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be at the Maryland Cemetery.
