Wayne R. Hillis, 64, passed away January 12, 2026 at Cooperstown Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing.

He was born May 7, 1961 in Oneonta, the son of Ronald K. and Marilyn (Connelly) Hillis.

Wayne graduated from Andrew S. Draper Central School in Schenevus and SUNY Delhi.

He enjoyed living in Schenevus and visiting with his neighbors, however his real passion and what he loved most was watching Doctor Who and gaming with his friends in the Anarchy Dogs Runescape clan.

He is survived by his son, Jacob; brother; Darren(Kathleen) and several nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A graveside service at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery will take place at a later date.
