Wayne Steven Hitchcock, 66, passed away on March 22, 2021.

He was born at Oneonta's A.O. Fox Hospital on November 14, 1954, son of Harry and Laura (Austin) Hitchcock.

Wayne was a lifelong area resident of Oneonta. He had been employed by many local businesses in Oneonta.  Friendly's Restaurant, Taylor's Gas Stations, Oneonta City School District as a custodian and the Duke Diner.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Susan Hitchcock; 3 children, Rebecca Evans and husband, Joe, Jason Hitchcock and Jacob Hitchcock and girlfriend, Shannon Finch; his grandson, Dylan Moore; his sisters, Kathy Nirshl and husband, Edward and Kris Kelly and husband, John; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephen and Lori Johnson and Harry and Analee Johnson and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Cameron Hitchcock.

Wayne liked to golf and hunt golf balls. He enjoyed listening to music, playing cards, watching sports on T.V. and watching his sons play sports.  He especially liked to hangout with family and friends.
