WORCESTER – Wayne T. Topa, 79, passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on November 27, 2017.

He was born November 22, 1938 in Barre, VT, the son of John and Josephine (St. Pierre) Topa.

Wayne was a United State Air Force veteran. He worked with electronics and was stationed in Germany and Alaska for most of his military career.

He was employed for Technicon working with hospital equipment, IBM as a computer program and most recently at Story House in Charlottesville.

Wayne was an avid member of American Brittany Rescue, training and hunt testing Brittany Spaniels. He was also a Hamm Operator.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Balcom) Topa whom he married on August 30, 1997 in Worcester; a son, Greg Topa of Connecticut, grandchildren, Kyler and Alexa; a son, Ron (Robin) Topa of Georgia and family; a daughter, Carol and family; a special nephew, John (Kris) Topa and family; and other nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his siblings.

A graveside service will be 1:30 PM on December 4, 2017 at Gerald B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
