Wendy J. Burton, 56, passed away after a short illness on May 31, 2019 at her home surrounded by loving family and friends.

Wendy was born January 18, 1963 in Ilion, the daughter of Raymond and Joyce (Bouck) Burton.

She is survived by her daughter, Ashlee and Cory Layman; grandchildren, Dylan Dale and Scarlett Renee Layman; her loving partner of 18 years, Maria Graham and her daughter, Caley Holden; her siblings, William Burton, Kathy and Emerson Brown, Dale Burton, Cathy Burton, Tracy and Florence Burton, and Sallie Burton; her best friends, Michele and Tim Davis, and Tia Rita Capen and Charlie Bearor; many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and an abundance of loving friends.

She was predeceased by her mother, Joyce; brother, James Burton; sister, Debra Pond; two brothers-in-law, Jay Phillips and Charles Heaton.

Wendy identified herself as a photographer, an artist, and a proud lesbian.  She loved watching birds and taking pictures.  She enjoyed hanging out by the river, flying kites, and having many adventures with her family and friends.  She especially loved being "Beanie" to her cherished grandchildren.
