Oneonta - William J. Amos, 70, died February 7, 2017 at Chestnut Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Oneonta.
He was born February 6, 1947 in Perth Amboy, NJ, the son of Clinton and Florence (Brown) Amos.
Bill graduated from Worcester Central School in 1968. He was employed with F.M. Burt in Cobleskill, NY. He liked cars, and enjoyed spending time with his nephews.
The family would like to thank friends and the staff at Chestnut Park for all the care given to Bill over the years.
He is survived by his brother, Robert and Christine Amos of Oneonta; his sister, Barbara and Stephen Ives of Worcester; his nephews, Michael Amos, Daniel Amos and Douglas and Erika Ives; great nieces and nephews, Bridget, Jake, Tonya, Alex, and Joey.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Clinton Amos.
Calling hours will be from 2 PM to the Memorial service at 3 PM on Saturday, February 11th at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St, Oneonta. The Rev Judith A. Thistle will be officiating.
That burial will be at a later date in the East Worcester Cemetery.
