Oneonta, NY - William T. Burrows Sr., 89, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at his residence.

He was born on July 21, 1921 in Mt. Vernon, NY, the son of James and Elizabeth (Lattrell) Burrows.

William married Ione Routan in 1943. She predeceased him in 1994.

He served in the United States Army during World War II.

William lived in the Oneonta area since 1987 and was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by 2 sons, Robert Burrows of New Hampsire and Alan Burrows of Oneonta; his loving companion and caregiver, Rosie Sutliff of Oneonta; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

William was predeceased by his daughter, Nancy Miller; his son, William Burrows Jr.; his brother, James Burrows and his grandson, Larry Miller.

At William's request there will be no calling hours.

Burial will take place at the Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla at the convenience of the family.
