Mt. Vision – William Martin Hiskey, 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on September 2, 2026.

He was born February 16, 1949, in Rockville Centre, the son of William and Anne Joan (Dabal) Hiskey.

Will grew up in Hicksville before moving to Upstate New York, where he made his home for the past 50 years.

For the last 19 years, Will worked in the maintenance department at Springbrook, a job he truly enjoyed and took great pride in. He was honored to be named Employee of the Year several years ago, a recognition that meant a great deal to him.

Will had a deep love for the outdoors and a special place in his heart for animals. He was always willing to take an animal in need under his wing, making sure it was cared for and fed. He also had a lifelong passion for cars and was a gifted handyman who could fix just about anything.

Will is survived by the love of his life, Ann Hutchison; his beloved cats, BB and Squirt; his son, Eric Phillips; and Ann’s family, whom he loved as his own: Susan Hutchison; David Hutchison; Annette Lindell; Peter Hutchison and Pamela Hirsch and their son, Levon; and John and Carmo Hutchison and their daughter, Iris. He also leaves behind many dear friends and colleagues at Springbrook who were an important part of his life.

Will will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of animals and the outdoors, his ability to fix just about anything, and the love and care he gave to the people and animals fortunate enough to be part of his life.

In keeping with Will’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held at this time.
