ONEONTA – William Patrick Powers, 61, passed peacefully into the arms of his savior Jesus Christ August 12, 2019 at home, where he wanted to be.

He was born October 21, 1957 in Oneonta, the son of William Joseph and Mary Jane (Campbell) Powers.

Bill was a life-long Oneonta resident. He was a carpenter, merchandiser, truck driver, a jack of all trades.  He was meticulous with his work, believing in taking your time and doing the job right the first time.  He attended Main Street Baptist Church in Oneonta.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sabrina L. Devins; step-sons, Christopher Devins, Russell (Sarah) Devins and Randy Devins; step-granddaughters, Serenity, Scarlett and Symphony Devins; his brothers, Tom (Gloria) Powers, Terry (Kathy) Powers and Tim (Cherie) Powers; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery..
