ONEONTA – William F. Reilly, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 with his wife, Marianne by his side.

He was born July 1, 1927 in Brooklyn, the son of Mary Higgins Reilly and William F. Reilly, Sr.

William served in the United States Navy from 1945-1946.

He was a long shore worker until 1968 when he moved to upstate New York. William then was employed at SUCO for 23 years, retiring in 1991.

William is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marianne Reilly; his son, Davie Reilly and wife, Laura of West Oneonta; a granddaughter, Lori Rheel and husband, Dennis of Davenport; a grandson, William M. Reilly of West Oneonta; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Evan, Dominick and Dustin Rheel; sisters-in-law, Dolores Stalder and Marilyn Graziano; brother-in-law, Anthony Graziano; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by parents; bothers, Francis J. and John F. Reilly; a sister, May Weiss and a sister-in-law, Bea Reilly.

Calling hours will be 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, December 16th at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta, with the funeral service starting at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Scott VanDerveer, officiating.

Interment with military honors will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, weather pending on 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013
